Context (Analysis)
A note found in the Keyser Workroom (c. 2011) suggested that perhaps 1883.837 might be the same object as Z 31684. It is unclear who the author of this note was, but it is true that the descriptions do potentially overlap. However, this would contradict the note written by Cyril Fox recording Samuel Cowles' recollection that this dish was from the 1891 Foster Bequest from the Swiss Lakes (see record for Z 31684).
