Five fragments from three or more bone combs, and five loose comb teeth. Two pieces from a double-sided composite bone comb, one of which is attached to a central strengthening bar with iron rivet still in place; another of the fragments likely comes from this same central strengthening bar. Another fragment is a toothplate from a single-sided composite comb, and the last an endplate with a rounded terminal.

Context (Analysis)
The note in Jenkinson's hand found with Z 16479 refers to a 'knife', which may actually be the shears (Z 16479 B.3). The 'comb' may be one of Z 16749 A, and the 'fused stuff' could refer to Z 16479 C.1 and/or Z 16479 C.2. The needle is not part of this accession number.
