Description (Physical description)
Cast copper alloy cruciform brooch. Rectangular headplate with flared wings and slightly raised, trapezoidal central panel with semi-circular punchmarks along the vertical exterior edges; full-round, waisted top knob and waisted full-round side knobs, detached but present. C-shaped bow with rectangular-section areas to top and bottom, transverse plain bands at either end of section. Flat panel is slightly tapered with transverse grooves. Horse-head terminal with protruding eyes and curved nostrils with diagonal grooved detail. Intact pin bar lug and catchplate; corroded, traces of mineralised textile.
