Sarah-Jane Harknett description for 1886.31.5 [A-E]: 'Six strings of beads found. None of these had the number "1886.31.5" associated with them.
One string consists of 58 small, spherical amber beads, and 11 larger rough amber beads.
A string of 25 amber beads, one of which is fragmentary.
A string of 14 amber beads.
A further string of 14 beads, 12 spherical (several of which are glass), two cylindrical. Two of the spherical are larger, one decorated with white on black, one red with white lines.
A string of 7 beads. Two are blue cylindrical, five are segmented beads.'

Jane Pettitt for 1886.31.5 [A-E]: 'Five strings of beads. String 1: 56 small, amber spherical beads and 11 larger amber beads, roughly square cylinder in shape; two of the larger beads are damaged and two small beads are detached in fragments but present.
String 2: 25 barrel shaped amber beads, small to medium in varying size; two beads are damaged.
String 3: 12 spherical amber beads and two larger triangular-shaped amber beads.
String 4: 14 beads comprising of two cylindrical beads and 12 annular beads including one of blue glass and two of a larger size and detailed design; one black bead decorated with white undulating lines and one red bead with white line detailing.
String 5: seven glass beads; two blue rectangular beads, four segmented beads and one single spherical bead, all with a lenticular cross section.'
