Sarah-Jane Harknett: 'Object is actually the bronze chape from a buckle. Part of the iron buckle remains. The holes for the two rivets are present, but no rivets.'

Description (Physical description)
Copper alloy buckle plate, or possibly a strap end made from sheet metal; folded over at one terminal with remnants of a corroded iron buckle and a rounded end. Three rivet holes, one with the rivet still present. Mineralised plain weave textile adhering to the reverse of the object.
