Context (Other)
The label found with the object reads: '"Bought from Roe, Petty Cury,' and on reverse 'during digging"'. This has been taken to mean that they were found at Petty Cury during digging, although it is possible that the vendor Roe was based at Petty Cury, and the beads were found elsewhere. More work needs to be done to establish which is the case.
