Description

Cast copper alloy small long brooch. Square headplate with rectangular top and side flat knobs and heart shaped cut outs. High arched bow with longitudinal ridge down the centre and rectangular section areas at top and bottom. Foot decorated with two transverse ridges; flared terminal with semicircle punchmarks. Catchplate present on reverse along with some iron corrosion product; pin bar lug obscured by iron corrosion from pin. Some loss from the flat knobs.
