The object is marked 'Surface 3/4 mile East of VANDLEBURY. [1]947' in red ink though this is fading in parts. This object has been marked with two idnos, '47/618' in pencil and 'Z.23918 in ink, both of which appear in the ID NO field. 1947.618 is marked on the object and is its original idno with the Z 23918 Accession Register record reading 'CAMBS. Neolithic. Wandlebury (P.Stapleford). label reads; 'Surface 3/4 mile East of Vandlebury 947' and on reverse side 47.618'.

Context (Amendments / updates)
The donor mentioned as 'King, W. B. R. (Prof.)' in the 'Source' field most likely refers to William Bernard Robinson King (1889–1963), Professor of Geology at the University of Cambridge, who was active in collecting and donating geological and related archaeological material in East Anglia during the mid-twentieth century. The 'Source' field has been updated accordingly.
