Description
The ground axe is of a pale brown patina and is chipped at the butt end and has a large chip taken out of the middle of the body. The blade is very thick with a bowed shap in a grey flint. The edges have been retouched.

The axe has been marked 'Nr. BASSINBOURNE VII.1890' in black ink and has a hand written label which reads '24'. The blade is marked 'Nr BASSINGBOUR [illegible] VII.91.' in black ink.
