Context (Analysis)
On 6th February 2014 Dr Rune Nyord, Wallis Budge Junior Research Fellow, Christ's College, Cambridge, studied some of MAA's fertility figurines as part of a research project on ancient Egyptian mortuary religion dealing with fertility figurines in ancestral tombs in the Middle Kingdom/Middle Bronze Age. He noted it was a 'Small fragment of a crude female figurine, making it difficult to date. Most likely New Kingdom or later'.
