Representation of perhaps kiln, oven or soul house

Context (Other)
This object has no provenance and is likely to have lost its association with its original accession number and was reaccessioned as Z 17395. 1907.704, which is a soul house excavated by W.M.F. Petrie from Rifeh, Egypt currently has no location. The publication does not describe or illustrate this object, merely referring to it as '1 other' soul house (in addition to 1907.703, which was in turn reaccessioned as Z 17396). It may therefore be the same object, but without illustrations or dimensions it is currently impossible to know for sure.

Context (Analysis)
In November 2018, Dr Wolfram Grajetzki, University College London, examined this object and confirmed that it is a soul house, the front of which has probably been broken away, and identified the material as Nile clay. The Description has therefore been updated accordingly. Dr Grajetzki believes that this soul house is consistent with other soul houses excavated by Petrie at Rifeh in 1907, lending weight to the belief that Z 17395 is indeed 1907.704, although it is still not possible to definitely prove this. Given the similarity of this soul house to the other from Rifeh, the Period field has been updated to '?Middle Kingdom' to 'First Intermediate; Middle Kingdom; XI Dynasty; XII Dynasty', and Petrie has been tentatively added to the Source field.
