'137', marked in black ink near the base, is similar in placement and colour to the way that D 1898.54 is marked '106'. The latter is from Hierakonpolis. This is not enough to clarify whether Z 16736 B is from Hierakonpolis rather than from Nagada, as has been tentatively suggested, but excavation records should be checked.
