Description
Globular earthenware jar of light red pottery decorated with purple-red pattern consisting of a running design of ' vine' or other leaf with tendrils between two double lines of purple-red. Round the rim is a thin purple-red line. Smnall chips offthe rim, otherwise perfect. The pot is to my mind Romano-Nubian " Blemmyan" and came from Nubia. I doubt the statement here reproduced (signed with initials ?F.W.G 1928)
