Description

Fragment of the left-hand part of the upper section of a stela. The major figure is a seated human-headed goddess, the local patroness Nekhbet, who is holding a long w3s-sceptre. Behind her is a ram's head, mounted upon a cavetto-corniced pedestal, wearing a sun disc and a uraeus and labelled 'Amun of the Lake'. Only a small portion of a lower register is preserved. On the far left a moon lies above the very top of a rounded head, probably a baboon. Below the goddess is a double-crowned figure.
