Description

Correspondence between Louis Clarke and Dr. Thomsen of the National Museet (National Museum), Copenhagen, Denmark, regarding the exchanges of artefacts over the course of 1927-1935. The National Museum sent MAA Inuit artefacts from various locales in the Arctic, Danish pottery, and Dutch New Guinea, and in return MAA sent Buganda artefacts, artefacts from Ceylon, British New Guinea and the New Hebrides. Includes list of the Arctic artefacts, with museum numbers and short description.
List of and notes on Inuit implements in MAA (not complete), compiled by Helge Larsen of the National Museet, who MAA invited over to help organize their Arctic collection.
A breakdown of Eskimo harpoon and arrowheads in MAA according to the parameters created by Therkel Mathiassen.
