Context (Production / use)
Margaret Rishbeth was the daughter of Kathleen (Haddon) Rishbeth (1888-1961) British zoologist, photographer and collector of string figures and Australian geographer Oswald Rishbeth. She was also Alfred Cort Haddon's grandaughter and was a prominent and long-term supporter of the Museum, donating items from the family collections and her own travels. She remained a key connection to A.C. Haddon and Torres Strait Islanders and met many Islander visitors in the museum and at events.
