Context (Amendments / updates)
This notebook was tentatively identified as being by Tom Manning from the British Canadian Arctic Expedition 1936 - 1939 when it was first catalogued. However, it is actually a notebook of archaeological material excavated during the 1938 West Greenland Expedition, presumably by the expedition archaeologist Richard de Feachem. The record has been updated accordingly. See XA/1/33 for a clean copy of similar finds.

Description (Physical description)
Excavation notebook broken down by dates (July 19-20) but no year, including sketches of objects and sites, and descriptions of sites including Bihita Bay, Emaq, First River Bay, Sarqa and Inia. Some really lovely object sketches. Presumably this is the book which Manning attributes to Baird and himself, since there is no other book in this file.
