Description

Collection of materials relating to excavated material from Exning Roman villa which were led by Ernest Greenfield 1958-1959. Originally given to MAA by English Heritage, part of the collection was accessioned and part was retained unaccessioned. All of this material has subsequently been transferred to Suffolk County Council Archaeological Archive (2/9/2024). These archived materials contain lists of the material, correspondence related to the transfer, and a copy of C.J. Webster's PCAS article: 'Ernest Greenfield's excavations at Exning Roman Villa' vol.76. See Doc.301 for English Heritage movement of finds record.
