Description (Physical description)
A set of archives of hand written undergraduate class notes from the archaeology tripos in the 1940s written by Jane Waley (nee McFie):
1. an off-pink 'Duplex' twin pocket file containing notes on early man including skull illustrations and timelines
2. a string bound notebook with no cover containing notes on Indian archaeology, race, and culture
3. an A5 plain blue notebook containing notes on the Viking Age and later period from a class given by Mrs Dorothy de Navarro
4. an A5 plain red 'Veneka' notebook from a class given by Mr J.M. de Navarro
5. a hard-backed notebook with adhered front piece which reads 'Christ's Hospital, Hertford. Name Jane McFie Form... Subject Elementary Prehistory Date...' of notes from a class given by Mr. Miles Burkitt
6. a hard-backed notebook with adhered label which reads 'Jane McFie - Newnham College. ELEMENTARY PRE-HISTORY PLEISTOCENE GEOLOGY' of notes from a class given by Professor Hutton at one end
7. an A5 brown envelope containing string-bound notes from lectures given by Miss Gertrude Caton-Thompson
8. an A5 publication dated to 28th January 1971 titled 'A list of the published writings of Hector Munro Chadwick and of Nora Kershaw Chadwick
9. a group of loose A5 notes
10. a group of loose A4 notes and maps
11. communication regarding the acquisition between MAA staff and Pamela Jane Smith
