Description

A set of archives of hand written undergraduate class notes from the archaeology tripos in the 1940s written by Jane Waley (nee McFie):
1. a 'Stanhope' back spring file containing class notes on 'Migrations of Peoples' from A.C. Haddon and class notes from a class on writing by Professor Minns.
2. a small blue ring binder 'Twinlock college note book' including notes on Beowolf and notes from Professor Chadwick's translation, Runic alphabet, and loose leaves
3. a plain blue paper notebook at one end detailing metalwork including illustrations of brooches and at the back end notes Orkney culture. Some loose notes and a letter with postcard from Jane Waley (nee Mcfie) to Pamela Jane Smith
4. a plain green-blue paper notebook on the Poetic Edda (Norse poems)
5. a medium-sized black 'Coldstream' ring binder containing notes on architecture and Roman Britain and the Early Medieval Period
6. a hand written letter from Robin Kenward to Pamela Jane Smith detailing the stapled miscellaneous notes of a conversation between Robin Kenward and Russell Molyneux-Johnson
7. communication regarding the acquisition between MAA staff and Pamela Jane Smith
