Context (CMS Context)
Large leather bound volume with faded spine containing archaeology and anthropology accessions. Red sticker in centre of front cover reads 'Museum of Archaeology' in gold lettering. Some wear to leather around edges of front and back cover.

This is the museum's first register and includes three accessioning systems 1. day, month, year; 2. year followed by accession number (as standard); 3. Roman numerals relating to geographical place followed by accession number, in this case XI.O for New Zealand (although given as O.XI on page 11 and generally recorded in this format on catalogue cards and CMS records).
