Description
Invitation to ceremony of dedication of the Pouhaki in the Maudslay Gallery, Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (MAA). 4 December 2008. The ceremony was opened with a powhiri. Also enclosed, a one-page history of the pouhaki entitled: 'Pouhaki: A Historic Maori Flagpole Arrives in Cambridge'. The historic Maori flagpole was carved by Tene Waitere in 1920, and refreshed by James and Cathy Schuster in 2007 after being given as a long-term loan by the Ministry of Defence Art Collections.
