Description

Set of alphabetised index cards, relating to Baron Anatole von Hügel. They appear to correspond to people he communicated with, objects he bought, places he visited, committees he sat on, etc. and include references to letters and archives held by the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology as well as to other publications and lists dates relating to the museum's history. The cards were found in a long, wooden box with a torn label that appears to predate the cards by several decades. The label read: 'New Guine. 1903 - Bevan Collection 1905 - Cooke-Daniels" 1912 - Landtman" 1915 - Rogers" Accompanying the cards is an undated note by Terry Hoare, archival volunteer c. 1989 - 2004, reading "This box of cards and information found in Dr. Phillipson's Office. Presume it belongs to a student compiling info from Baron von Hügel Papers".
