Envelope addressed to Rev. A.C. Yorke, ? Fowlmere Rectory, Royston, Herts. The postage seems to give the year as 1884. On the reverse of envelope, in ink, is written: "This staff belonged to the only female chieftain in British New Guinea. The smooth parts are for the hands: at top, when used as a walking staff; in the middle when the staff was carried horizontally."
