Document - James Hornell notebook containing many miscellaneous, and seemingly unconnected, papers:
1. Notebook labelled 'Coxswaine Diagrams'. Contains detailed circular drawings apparently charting oyster fisheries and diving times. Dated Feb.- March 1904, in Sri Lanka (Ceylon). Hornell worked on pearl fisheries around 1905-1905.
2. Letter from the Miss Whateleys to Baron Anatole von Hügel detailing eight portraits which the sisters are donating to the Cambridge Antiquarian Society. December 1913. Portraits include Bishop Selwyn, Professor Adams, Dr. Porter, Dr. Parkinson, etc.
3. Three identical maps of Romania, Bulgaria and Thessaly. Handwritten notes identify location of objects from Jambol, Bulgaria and Lianokladhi, Thessaly.
4. Itinerary for six excursions to areas in Scotland, to see archaeological sites. Maps date to 1958.
5. Photograph, found inside excursion timetables. Small, black and white, photograph labelled "'Giant' on Gogs". Probably refers to Gog Magog Hills, Cambridge. T.C. Lethbridge?
