Description

Letter from Alan Summerland to Thryza Smith, Fitzwilliam Museum, enclosing a photograph of an intact burial about forty miles north of Tbilisi, Georgia. Burial was of teenage boy with weapons and pots, roughly 3, 000 years old. Summerland was working on the cross-country pipeline linking the Caspian Sea to the Black Sea, during which time this burial was uncovered.
Smith forwarded the letter and photograph on to Dr. Robin Boast, Curator, MAA.
