Original deposited with Haddon papers in manuscript room of University Library. Photocopy of a letter from McFarlane to Haddon encouraging him to go to Torres Strait dated 27 Nov 1887(original in Haddon Papers in the UL). Also letters to Anita Herle and Jude Philp, photographs, transfer of title form from Malcolm McFarlane, grandson of Samuel McFarlane, missionary associated with his work in Mer (Murray Island) and Melanesia in general.
