Lubugo. Rectangular-shaped barkcloth with beater marks and four stitched patches. One hole has been cut out near centre of cloth; fibre string still attached to cloth at various points. Used as wrapping for postage, with postage labels still attached to one side.

'Both C & D were used to wrap the other two barkcloths when they were sent by post from Uganda. On both the address is written in hand directly onto the barkcloth and is to Mrs Haddon, Innisfail, Hills R, Cambridge England. A customs label is attached to each and gives the intended address as Cambridge and the name and address of the sender as E.H.Haddon, Jinja, Uganda. A second label is pasted onto the first and has the word Mombasa printed on it with the numbers 102 [barkcloth D] and 104 [barkcloth C] written on it; C has the inland postage as 11d and D has it as 8p. There is no date on the labels. J.Somerville 28/10/2004.'
