Context (Acquisition Details)
The portrait has long been in the possession of the Museum. The donor and date of acquisition are unknown but given the inscription it is likely that it was given by the Baroness von Hugel. It was displayed in the 2000s above the entrance to the Babington Corridor and removed during the redevelopment.
