Description

Kimymun. A gourd container made by Kauchumei of Sibou village. The vessel is roughly ovoid in shape and has a circular opening at the top. Attached to the body are strips of woven plant fibre (saroget and sitet binding) to which a sarogat handle is tied. There is a small contemporary repair near the rim. The vessel is made and used by men for carrying honey from the beehive to the house.
