Context (Amendments / updates)
There are 2 entries in the Accession register for Z 13498. Z 13498 is a brass hair pin, and Z 13498 A is a group of three combs. The combs were at some point given letter suffixes (a-c: Z 13498 A.a, A.b, and A.c) and the brass pin the letter suffix B. As these suffixes have been marked on the objects, they have been retained. The brass pin has been stripped of its 'B' suffix, so it matches the number originally assigned to it in the Accession register (Z 13498).
