Description
Lubugo. An undecorated square of barkcloth with visible beater marks, made from two pieces of barkcloth stitched together with fine, light coloured stitching. One square patch of barkcloth has been attached using light coloured thread and there are areas of straight stitching, possibly repairs.

One of two pieces of barkcloth money, dark reddish tan in colour. Formerly used as currency by the Baganda with cowries and blue beads. Has been patched neatly (2 pieces joined v. carefully).
