Description (CMS Description)
Flat satchel made from strips of natural and black-dyed pandanus leaf (voivoi). Large weave inside the basket. Finely woven on the outer surface with nine rectangles filled with either horizontal or vertical lines. The top of the satchel is decorated with a 2.5 cm band of fine black and white chequerboard pattern. The top of the satchel decorated with short black and white fringes. A loop formed of three strands of twisted hibiscus fibre on one side of the bag at the top. Six strands of twisted hibiscus fibre form a long attachment cord on the other side of the satchel.
