Description

Redware glazed jug. Upright, collared rim; strap handle with central vertical ridge extending from collar to below shoulder of body with thumb impression; upright, short neck; body widens to a shoulder half way down body; slight taper to flat base. Two-thirds of rim is reconstructed with cork, so unknown if there was a spout; some scratches and holes on lower part of body. Wheelmade; no glaze on bottom third of body.
